Serves 2 – 4 depending on how much you dilute it.
How to make mulled apple juice
2 cups pure, unfiltered apple juice
2 star anise
2 slices ginger bruised
1 quill cinnamon
1 strip orange zest
1 chamomile tea bag
1. Place apple juice, spices, ginger, and orange zest into a small pot and slowly bring to a simmer.
2. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add tea bag and continue simmering for another 5 minutes.
3. Drain apple juice and pour into glasses.
4. NOTE: The apple juice may have reduced slightly, in which case you could add a little boiling water. I like to do this anyway because the juice tends to be very sweet for me!
If you don’t drink all of it in one sitting, don’t stress! Simply put it in a glass bottle and store it in the fridge. It’s just as yum cold a few days later when the falvours have developed further.
